Ali Wentworth is an American actress, comedian, author, and producer. Her birth name is Alexandra Wentworth. She is the wife of George Stephanopoulos. Wentworth has coronavirus (COVID-19), she revealed in an Instagram post, making her the latest celebrity to come down with the virus.

Actress, comedian and bestselling author Ali Wentworth is sharing her experience after testing positive for COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus.
Wentworth, a mom of two and the wife of “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos, first revealed her diagnosis Wednesday on Instagram, writing, “I’ve never been sicker.”
Wentworth posted a photo showing her in bed looking sick to her Instagram account. “have tested positive for the Corona Virus. I’ve never been sicker. High fever. Horrific body aches. Heavy chest. I’m quarantined from my family. This is pure misery. #stayhome,” she wrote. She didn’t address whether George Stephanopoulos has been tested for coronavirus.
She is the daughter of Muffie Cabot and Henry Brandon. Wentworth’s mother, Muffie Cabot, was Nancy Reagan’s White House Social Secretary from 1981 to 1983. Her father, Eric Wentworth, was a reporter for The Washington Post. Her stepfather, Henry Brandon, was the editor of The Sunday Times in London, and her maternal grandmother was explorer Janet Elliott Wulsin (1894–1963).
Wentworth attended the Dana Hall School for Girls in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and graduated from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York in 1988.
Wentworth debuted as a cast member on the Fox sketch comedy series In Living Color from 1992 to 1994, where she was known for impressions of Cher, Amy Fisher, Hillary Clinton, Princess Diana, Brooke Shields, Lisa Marie Presley, Sharon Stone, and other characters.
Her recurring characters included Candy Cane, a deranged kids show host who had had a string of bad relationships with her male coworkers and the promiscuous teenage daughter of Grandpa Jack McGee (Jim Carrey) on The Dysfunctional Home Show.
Wentworth made correspondent appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 1995, she played Jerry Seinfeld’s girlfriend Sheila (“Schmoopie”) in the memorable “Soup Nazi” episode of Seinfeld.
