Michele Bacis is a football coach and former Italian footballer, defending role.

THE eight-year-old son of former Fiorentina footballer Michele Bacis has died after falling from a balcony last night, according to reports from Italy.


He is 40 years old.


He grows football in the team of his city, Atalanta, but begins his professional career in the 1999/2000 season in Triestina, in Serie C2. In 4 years he collected 101 appearances and 5 goals. The leap in quality occurs during the 2002/2003 season when Triestina arrives in Serie B: Bacis does not go unnoticed. The following year he was bought by Fiorentina, always in Serie B. Bacis collected 26 appearances with the purple shirt In the 2003/2004 season,(contributing to the promotion in Serie A ) and then moved to Arezzo in the Serie B 2004-2005.

In 2005 there is the return of Bacis in Serie C, first with Genoa (2005/2006, 16 appearances) then with Avellino (2006/2007, 15 appearances). In the 2007/2008 championship, he plays with the Cremonese jersey in the C1 series.

After being released from the Cremonese, he signed a contract that binds him to AC Monza Brianza 1912, with whose shirt he collects 21 appearances, scoring 2 goals on October 14, 2008. Michele Bacis’s Son Died Falling Off Three Storey Balcony

The boy, Jacopo, was playing on the balcony at his home in Arezzo, in Tuscany, when he lost his balance and fell three floors just after 10 pm.

He was rushed to the San Donato Hospital in Arezzo but was declared dead upon arrival.

A neighbour told Italian paper Corriere Della Sera: “We heard a dull thud coming from the street, we looked out and saw the child’s body and then we heard the screams of the parents.”

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.


Paying tribute, Jacopo’s karate teacher Enzo Bertocci wrote on Facebook: “I imagine you happy, free, free to fly and run as you have not been able to do in these two months.

“I imagine you show other kids your best moves.”

The heartbreaking incident comes just weeks after Basic lost his uncle to coronavirus.
